General Jacob Brown Grenadier Island War Of 1812

An abstract of the 107 acre Basin Harbor property estate lists  Brigadier  General Jacob Brown as its first owner of record in 1829.

General Brown accompanied General Wilkinson from Sackets Harbor and stayed on Grenadier with Wilkinson with his Brigade( including the(22nd Battalion) prior to his advance on French Creek near Clayton, NY

General Brown came to Grenadier from Sackets Harbor with his troops in October 1813  shortly after his victorious victory over the British forces at Sackets Harbor.
